When you become a police officer, expect to be asked all kinds of questions about your profession. Lots of people want to know if they ever shot someone, and others want to know how to become a cop fast. I often get approached by people while I’m working out at the gym. One of the questions I get asked all the time is what is my chance as a potential police officer if I am slightly overweight. That’s what a guy at the gym asked me.

I informed him that he would have a better chance if he lost a few extra pounds, since the hiring board would deduct points as a result of his being overweight. You see a lot of the police officers that you see on patrol that are overweight they weren’t at the beginning of their career. In fact, many of them were super skinny because they knew their careers were on the line. Once they were offered the job, they fell off the wagon and began to gain weight. But as I mentioned earlier, that was not the case at the beginning of his career.

In this article I am going to give you tips that will help you get ultra lean for the agility test and/or the police academy.

To be in shape for the police assessment test, you need to be in the right mindset. The attitude that I am going to be committed and consistent with my diet. If you stay the course, you’ll burn fat fast as you move toward your goal of becoming a cop. I met and trained guys who were too skinny and too fat to become police officers, and the ones who ultimately got the job were the ones who stayed the course and did what it took to lose the pounds.

All it takes is 3 workouts a week, 45 minutes or less to burn fat and be in good shape for the agility test. You can do a little strength training with resistance bands or free weights for 30 minutes and then do another 25 minutes of cardio. That is really.
