The right choice can get you a decent income and the wrong choice can leave you with a loss of money. Therefore, it is important to look at the following five characteristics of a great network marketing company:

1. The best network marketing company to choose is one that has a great reputation and is truly legitimate. Running a background check on the company you are interested in may seem extreme, but it will protect you from being scammed. Internet research could provide you with valuable feedback that will help you make the best decision for you.

2. The only network marketing company you can get involved with is one that is financially sound. A company can be in business for ten years and when the new management takes over, it begins to suffer financial losses. Don’t get caught in this trap. Always ask for financial documentation on the creditworthiness of any business you may be involved in.

3. The company you join should also have quality products available for you to sell. Test the products yourself and determine whether or not the products meet the expectations raised by their advertising. Also, if you want to increase your chance of earning more, consider companies that sell products that will earn repeat sales. Those that run out, such as health care products, will need to be purchased again when they run out. This means repeat commissions for you.

4. The company’s compensation or commission structure should also play a role in your decision. While it may seem like a no-brainer to go with the highest commission rate, you need to look further. You will also need to consider the tier structure. How many commission levels can you earn? Just from your recruits? Or do they pay at another level of recruits?

5. You’ll also want to consider what kind of training and support the network marketing company offers its members. The truth is that most of the people who join will have no experience in the business or very little at best. Not only do they need training on how to start their own business, but they also need a support system where they can voice concerns or ask questions. Without either, your chances of success with that venture are slim.
