Employ what should and should not be done with the domestic worker

The housekeeper can be the key to all your domestic problems, but she can be a nuisance if she can’t keep her composure. As an employer, you have your own sets of responsibilities for your maid. Know these important dos and don’ts of your maid and you might just have a happy and peaceful life with a clean and tidy home.

Treat your maid well, but don’t consider her your best friend.

Domestic workers are just like any typical worker and human being. Communicate in a respectable manner and keep your needs intact, such as food, room, and other essentials. Do not assign unimaginable workloads to the maid. You can do it? However, don’t consider her your best friend; otherwise it would be difficult to ask for orders. Keep it civil and professional.

Keep high-priced assets safe

No matter how many cooks, nannies, or helpers you have at home, it pays to do your part and keep your high-priced assets safe to avoid any guilt. But don’t think that the maid is out there to steal your things or your husband! Unless proven otherwise, think of anyone as innocent after all, she is there to work for you.

Housemaids are not robots or mind readers

They can do their chores but to a certain extent and sometimes they have a tendency to forget to do it. Even kitchen maids sometimes forget to put a common ingredient in their kitchen. Make your expectations known and make constant reminders. If you can do it with your children or spouse, the maid is no exception.

The domestic employee has a special value in the home. While her task is great, don’t put the entire load on her back. She is always professional. Stay rational and in control in case a problem arises. The ultimate responsibility is not to always keep the house clean; sometimes it’s about keeping the home safe and peaceful.
