Chinese chili chicken very similar to Indian style

Indian-style Chinese chicken in gravy, cooked with lots of onions and green chilies. Very tasty, very must eat her. A little over a year ago, Zack had his first Christmas Eve dinner with us and some of our friends here at Luna Pier. An hour earlier, he called to ask, “Do I need to wear a suit? I’ve never been in one of these things!” And this coming Easter Sunday after anchoring the 13abc morning news in Toledo (he doesn’t mind working on Christian holidays), Zack will be joining us with Maria’s brothers for Easter dinner.

I love Indochinese dishes, they really taste just great, seasoned with Indian seasoning and Chinese cooking style. Last week, when this German Lutheran was locked up in a Catholic hospital, Mary found the book Cooking Jews in the hospital gift shop and bought me a copy. I already love this book! There are some amazing recipes here, and while there are no photos of the finished dishes, it’s not hard to visualize how they would turn out. But what’s even more endearing about the book is the whole “family” aspect of the writing in general. The family tree is laid out, graphics indicate which family member is related to which and how that happens (ie Fanny Vitner is Silvia Robbin’s mother), and a written history goes back over 100 years. I’ll throw up!” However, the dish is so good that she couldn’t help but eat it all and take more with her. Calling after the game, she said she didn’t feel nauseous at all, but instead felt like she had the energy of a 12-year-old, scoring 15 points.

The book says it serves 8, but take a closer look. There are two chickens, 3 to 4 pounds each, each cut into eight pieces. Dishes are hygienically packaged and delivered fresh and hot. Some changes we made were using golden raisins vs. dark raisins, granulated instead of ground garlic, and a Chardonnay for the white wine. We also serve it on a bed of buttered white rice.
