Those who finished strong last season are among the NFL’s top picks for next season. Both the Saints and the Colts are expected to be at the top of this year’s football picks. The teams that struggled the most last year are included in the ones that are not expected to excel this season. Even with the first pick in the draft in Sam Bradford, don’t expect much improvement from the Rams. The Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs are NFL picks that remain low on the list for the 2010 season. Tampa Bay is still at the bottom as well, but is expected to improve on defense.

There are several teams that are expected to improve a lot this year. They’ve made great strides this offseason. Changes for these teams are expected to yield favorable results. Among the teams that NFL teams have improved on this year are the Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans. Despite having a mediocre season last year, the Houston Texans and Washington Redskins are expected to improve and be the top contenders in their divisions in the 2010 season.

The Steelers have long been among the best football teams. But do they have the team strength to shake off quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s suspension and stay strong throughout the season? Player changes around the league leave fans scratching their heads and wondering who will be the dominant teams in each division. What important role, if any, will injuries and trades play in previously dominant teams?

The best picks in the NFL are still the Saints and the Colts. However, don’t rule out some other top contenders just yet. The Packers, Cowboys and Chargers are still the best football teams. Jets and Vikings are still in the mix, as well as the Cincinnati Bengals. Only when the season starts will the effect of changing the rosters be seen.
