Motivational techniques to exercise

One of the hardest parts about going from the couch to the gym or your chosen training site is the motivation to do it. Many times I have worked my 8 hour day and I come home and want nothing more than to get into bed. Not even 8 hours before I made a game plan to make sure I was getting at least an hour of exercise that same day. One of the reasons I chose to make sure to surround myself with options for my exercise routine. I have a gym membership as well as have p90x exercise DVDs at home and lastly when the weather is nice outside I have walking trails in my area. Sounds great from this point of view … the only problem is the motivation to change into exercise clothes and make it happen.

I have made a change that is key to keeping up with the training session. That is to keep the process as simple as possible. Instead of sitting down when I walk in the door at night, I jump right into the mindset of getting my exercise hour before a specific time in the evening.

My personal motivation ranges from many different reasonings, from being a better provider for my children to wanting to retire and be able to keep moving without medical problems. While there is no guarantee that exercising will give me a healthy finish, I am not one to oppose the system.

Others may find other reasons for their motivation to undertake a training session, which may vary from different avenues of lifestyles.

Athletically – An athlete finds that his game is a matter of preparation. Being ready at this point is essential, and the better you perform, the more likely the paycheck will be reflected. Although most athletes don’t play for money, they need to eat and have a roof over their heads. (That might be a bit out of line, since if he was good enough to play a sport … he would be playing for money.) In addition to being a team player, the better prepared from a group point of view, the better the overall team will be. carry out.

Longevity – This is one of the few aspects that motivates me. Being able to tell I was close and being able to walk my daughters down the aisle when they’re ready for marriage … well that’s important to me. In today’s day and age, with so many young people who are more independent, marriage is not something that can happen in your 20s. There may be a good chance they will last into their 30s or 40s, well, it goes without saying that I want to be there when it happens. Being that is my motivation, you can coincide with others who want to see a special event that is meaningful.

Sex – Not to criticize my overweight friends, but in some study where it has been said that the heavier you are, the worse the sex. I’m not saying it doesn’t last that long for guys, but let’s just say my personal experience is best when my weight is less than 200 pounds. Also, ladies are not safe from this area either, the more fit or fit the ladies are, the more playful or energetic they are in the bedroom. If sex doesn’t motivate you, you’re probably not doing it right in the first place.

Divorced – In today’s time and age, the probability of divorce is quite high. In terms of being attractive after divorce, it is a concern for many people. Being in a healthy shape will bring more potential future partners to your doorstep. It would also be a good option to start finding yourself after spending time like two, the need to rebuild is a necessary evil. Taking the initial step to exercise is a positive and healthy aspect of moving on with a life.

Suitable role model – With so many negative things in this world, our children also need to have a positive person to look up to. On a personal level, I was a liquid libation person from time to time, too often, and found I needed to change that, once my daughters looked at me strangely. I decided that I would treat alcohol as if it were poison … well, I’m not one to drink poison. I decided I didn’t need it if it was going to destroy my relationship with my family. My motto is that I have never made a positive decision under the influence, and since I am constantly making decisions … you get the idea.

vanity – Ok, now if I have to explain this, then you’re probably vain … no, I’m just kidding. Who doesn’t want to enjoy the place they see in the mirror? The better you look, the better you feel, well, at least I do. If I notice that a certain aspect of my body is not looking good, it is time to activate those motivational juices.

Health – I’m not going to say that exercising will keep you completely healthy, but I’m willing to bet that not exercising will help the situation. Being an American dealing with obesity is a major problem. Although most of the problem is due to what we eat and not the amount of exercise we do. I am a true believer that it is impossible to beat training with a bad diet.

Stress – Although I am not a person with a lot of stress, I have my moments, like any other person. Exercising is great for stress relief. Putting together a good exercise routine that makes you lose focus on what has stressed you out during the day is a good way to realize that the problems are not worth it in the first place.

My motivation list for a training session may not be the same as yours, but it helps to know what gets you going. I am in favor of baby steps being the key to moving a mountain. Keep your mind well and you will see that the changes will come, but don’t be frustrated by the factor of not seeing the changes overnight. The only idea I got from my home work DVDs is taking pictures every 30 days.
