Getting to Wrigley Field by Train from O’Hare Airport

If you hate the bus, then the train is probably the next best thing. To do this, you need to understand that you won’t be able to just get on and off a train and finish. To get started, you need to take the Blue Line when you are in O’Hare and take it downtown. Simply purchase a transit card at the O’Hare CTA train station that can be purchased prior to entering the CTA turnstiles. One-way tickets cost $ 1.50. Take the CTA Blue Line train from O’Hare Airport to the Washington Street stop. Exit the train onto the platform and look for the ladder that descends and indicates the passage to the Red Line. Go down the stairs until you reach the walkway and walk one block to the next staircase at the end of the tunnel. Go up the stairs one level to the red line. On the platform, look for northbound trains heading to Howard Street or Evanston. You won’t go as far north as Howard Street or Evanston before getting off the train to go to Wrigley Field. Stay alert for the train to reach Addison Street and exit the train. At this point, you’ll only be one block from Wrigley. Don’t worry about being the only person getting off here, as the train will likely be full of other fans who will also be going into the game if you arrive within 1-2 hours of the first release. Just reverse the trip to return to O’Hare. You can use the remaining balance on the same rate card.
